Ok so to preface, running XP x64 on a q6600 processor, 4gb DDR2-800 DAM, 8800 GT 512mb video card, 650 watt Ultra X-Finity Power Supply, Seagate 7200.11 250GB HDD.

So when my computer boots, it gets to the desktop with my start menu that I can access, my Stardock is loaded, but then it takes about 1-2 minutes sometimes to let me use explorer or Pidgin or other programs, then all of a sudden stuff catches up and it's all good. Any way to troubleshoot this?

I ran a full NOD32 scan, and a full SuperAntiSpyware scan. Ran HDD and Memory tests when this started happening, nothing.

Thanks.

My guess is you have a ton of crapware in the run folder in the registry. How much stuff is in your system tray?

start > run > regedit
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
MICROSOFT
WINDOWS
CURRENTVERSION
RUN

Take a screenshot and post it, so we can see how much junk is being loaded at startup.

Yep too many startup programs most likely.

Another way (user friendly way) of seeing startup programs is to go

Start -> Run -> msconfig -> Startup tab
