Same reason you add voltages to the cpu man. The higher it goes the more juice it needs to handle it.

dam these enw cpus over clock liek champs, i want one so bad. im at 450fsb right now its my chip that cant take anymroe with out better cooling. i think if i get a new job i might buy a new cpu next. 320$ for that chip dont seem to bad.
