I decided to go with this build:

CPU - Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops
Memory - Newegg.com - OCZ Reaper HPC 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory
HD - Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives
PSU - Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Power Supplies
Case - Newegg.com - Thermaltake ArmorPlus(Armor+) VH6000BWS Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
MB- Newegg.com - ASUS P5Q Deluxe LGA 775 Intel P45 Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
GPU - Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-N891-AR GeForce 9800 GX2 1GB (512MB per GPU) 512-bit (256-bit per GPU) GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
CD/DVD - Newegg.com - ASUS Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 14X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe - CD / DVD Burners
OS - Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 64-bit English 1pk DSP OEI DVD for System Builders - Operating Systems
HD Cooler - Newegg.com - MASSCOOL SYTRIN Kuformula SHF1 Ultra HDD Cooler – BK - Hard Drive Cooling

Then I am a on edge of getting 1 of two aftermarket cpu coolers... I can not decided which one I should get and if there is one better for my build then another.. I was debating on these two cpu coolers:
Newegg.com - ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
or
Newegg.com - ZALMAN 9500A 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

Also, for my video card.. I heard some people say that you will only get 512mg out of the card and not the full 1gb? I cant see how that is true, but do you guys have any input on that as well?

And one more thing as well... I already have a Thermaltake toughpower 680w psu.. But with this rig I was told that it may not run stable. Is this true and should I just get the 750w corsair anyways?
Thanks :)

the corsair 750 is a awesome psu, i love mine it runs anything. i would get it off buy.com though it is cheaper
Corsair TX 750W ATX 12V Power Supply - CMPSU-750TX - Buy.com

as for the cooler i would get this one:
Newegg.com - XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
it is better then either of the ones u have posted.
i would also get this bracket along with it to prevent mb bending:
Newegg.com - XIGMATEK ACK-I7751 Retention Bracket - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

i would drop the hd cooler u have, kinda useless imo.

i would get a 4870 over a 9800gx2 but thats just me.

I just bought a tuniq didn't try it out yet still waiting for my case and monitor to arrive coming tuesday boyy yeaa as for the heatsink i say go for a tuiniq 120mm havent tried the xigmatek yet heard some good reviews. And i use to own a zalman 9500 on my old setup very good heatsink.

I've got the OCZ Vendetta 2 since the fan is more quit than the xigmatek... got some white paste in a plastic bag along with it. Don't think it's ocz freeze. Used mx-2 since i couldn't find tx
Using pushpin and having no problems but i can see how having a backplate would be better. Was pretty scary pushing those pins in.
idleing around 35 and load <60 on intelburntest and 50ish on prime95 @3ghz.

would definetly also recommend this one alongside xig
