Help with applything Thermal paste

So i have always applied my thermal paste by putting a little drop then spreading it on the cpu.But should i just leave the one drop and leave it alone?

Depends on the HSF you're using. Screwless Intel ones you should spread it as there is no guarantee the pressure will spread evenly. Whereas an aftermarket Zalman will spread the paste itself just fine. Either way works pretty well.

Hmm i see well as my sig says Tuniq Tower HS and im using mx-2 thermal paste.

Then you can just apply it without spreading. It will spread itself fine.

i'd spread it all over the cpu. not like an inch thick or anything.
