Video Card stops power

So I just constructed a computer and finally got it to power on and boot.
The only problem I've encountered is that once I put in my Geforce 9800 GX2 my computer gets no power. Here's what I'm using:

Use a mulitmeter to check how much power the video card is using. You're sure that the right power cables are hooked up to it?

i would say your power supply is to small but its not, so you need to check if you hooked up the cables to the power supply and mother board right
