Where do you think I should go with my OS?

Yeah, you'd have to choose a Linux distro, like Ubuntu, Fedora or Redhat.
Ubuntu is probably the best/easiest distro for Linux-newbies.

Ubuntu or Kubuntu I'd say. Kubuntu is more similar to Windows, in terms of how its laid out/looks.

I'm starting to get into PC Gaming. And the lack of DirectX10 kind of disturbs me at times for some reason.

I was thinking of getting Vista but I don't know if it is worth it or not. There is also the fact that Windows 7 is coming out next year and is going to have DirectX11 as well as I've heard that OS's like Linux are far better then Windows.

Do you guys know where I should go with my OS?

Don't hold your breath, Windows 7 probably won't be out until 2010 at the earliest.

If Microsoft can get Windows 7 in Beta before the end of December they have a shot at a 2009 release. Slim but it is there. IF they can get all the bugs hunted and fixed fast. But i would still say 2010 is more likely.

Kubuntu would be a good choice. But first check your games on the Wine list.
