well you said you might get an additional 4870 in the next few months you will need a mother board that supports crossfire to achieve that.
The motherboard he listed supports crossfire.

Updating in a few on the new build specs.
Ahh...Sorry for the double post. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete it as well. My bad there.
Here is the specs of the new computer I'm most likely going to be building. If you guys think I need any more fans(I want my friend to OC it a bit) just tell me. I also have a keyboard/mouse/mousepad picked out. i am going to be playing COD4, WoW, Warhammer, and other new games. I hope this is a good build for the cost. I am also going to probably add a another HD 4870 sometime over the next few months.
Total comes to $1410 before some rebates and maybe an extra fan(or two?), also excludes the mouse/keyboard/mousepad I picked out. Any advice welcome.

Those are some good choices there. That build as is will be pretty good. I have only a few suggestions.
#1 get a western Digital hard drive instead of a seagate.
#2 Since you have $1500 to spend you might as well get the I45 instead of the tp45. I have the TP45 and its a good board, but the I45 is just a notch higher. it also holds the world OC record right now.
#3 I would invest in a 3rd party HSF. Xigmatek makes good ones. The cooler that wolfdales ship with is not the great and it doesn't hold to OCing well. A good hsf will only run you about $30 or so. The benefits far outweigh the small price.
And, I dunno, it looks like its pretty nice and its fairly big which I liked. But I'm not going to get a new mousepad, just a new mouse(Microsoft Habu or a G5) and a Keyboard (Saitek Cyborg).
also, whats the deal with a $22 mouse pad? Mouse pads are usually given away. In my experience laser and optical mice don't even need mouse pads.
