What do you mean by damaged?

Like bends, its a really big and heavy HSF

I don't think it's the weight as much as using to much force when trying to push the pins in.

Last time I had to put my hsf back on I used a screwdriver to push down the inner pins and then pushed the top pieces down over them and it worked pretty good.
