4g ddr2 ram

I'm spending about 1k and the pc will be used mostly for gaming.

gpu is pretty old. Get a hd 4850

Did you just recently build this? Because you say you have this pretty new chipset board: Newegg.com - Foxconn P45A-S LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

But I agree the GTS 640mb is pretty dated
