Asus P5E x38 vs p5e deluxe x48

So i just ordered the x38 version but im wondering what is the difference between the x38 and the x48.I saw that the price difference between these is only about 10 dollars more so please tell me which one i should get so i can cancel to change the order now.Oh yea and i have a visiontek 4870 i just got and plan to crossfire around xmas time so which board would benefit me more?

There isn't much of a difference. The x48 is just a higher binned x38 so it might overclock a little better.

Why an x38/x48 board. The 4870 doesn't get any real benefit out of anything higher than PCI-e 2.0 x8 channels I think so why not get a P45 board and save your hard-earned cash, or use that to get a high spec P45 board like the Maximus Formula II

Well its to late lol and anyway i was told that the x38 board combined would be really good and better then getting a nVidia chipset board.I was also wondering how to update the bios for the motherboard.
