i disagree...you dont need an x2 for a 24" monitor IMO. and besides that, there are butt-loads of 4870x2 driver and hardware problems ATM...not to mention the problems you will encounter running 2 of them lol you would pull your hair out. a single 4870 (1gb) will handle almost all games (with the usual crysis exception) at 1920 x 1200 with excellent framerates. i have done chingos of research on the subject of 4850 CF vs 4870 vs 4870 CF vs 4870x2 (i just bought a 1gb 4870...which is enough for anything i play and then some). yes, x2 is faster than CF 4870 (a LITTLE)...but the driver glitches and problems people are encountering with CF 4870 are NOTHING compared to the x2 problems i have read about.
i would suggest a single 1gb 4870. if thats not satisfactory after you get it and you aren't getting the FPS you want (you will be though), then get another and CF them. a little slower than x2, but a lot less headaches, apparently.
