P/S2 Keyboard VS USB -- In DOS...is there any way?

Is there any way to get my computer when it first starts up to use the USB Mouse & Keyboard? Every time that error screen comes up, "Windows did not start correctly on its last attempt, select one of three things below--
-safe mode
-last good config.
-start windows normally
and every time I end up waiting the 30 seconds 'cause I can't use my USB keyboard to move up/down/and hit enter. Granted, I can plug in a P/S2 keyboard, but I was hoping there was a way around this!

Usually I just plug it in and it works.

But plug in PS/2 on startup and switch it once you get logged in and it should work.

Yeah--that switching it is a hassle! And having to have two key boards lieing around, quite annoying! Oh well!
