I recently did some re-organisng of my room so that I could put extend my desktop to my TV when i felt like playing a game on my TV or watching a video on my TV. My video card came with an S video to composite (or component, the yellow one) jack so I can hook my computer up to my TV. (its the old CRT type of TV) I hooked the stuff up but when i go to extend my desktop to a second monitor in CCC it enables it for a split second then disables it.

Thanks

ok try this to see if its the video card and not the tv: open CCC and go to basic view and set it up just for the tv and see if it will work.

it detects that the TV is there but it just does not let me use it as a secondary monitor, it is probably a driver issue. ATI always seems to have crappy drivers.

I've always had a TV as a secondary monitor on my Desktop. Now I use a DVR as a monitor. ATI All-in-Wonder cards were designed for this purpose. On a regular ATI card with analog outputs, it maybe just an either/or function.
