I found a deal on egay.

Some times you find good deals on Ebay. But if you can help it, buy parts, and put it together yourself. That computer deal could have a cheaped out motherboard, psu, or even probably ram.

It's better than the e4700, the only reason its so expensive (the e4700) is because it was supported by Intel for one Q2 and the price didn't drop much, then they discontinued it

Its a Pentium Dual-Core a stripped down version of the Core 2 Duo (half the cache)

decided to drop the case and the expensive asus mobo, and use my stock microatx hp case w/this microatx mobo w/great reviews

this dropped my total after rebates to $375, which is pretty close to my original max amount.

Only thing I am sacrificing is SLI.....but when it comes time to upgrade I'll just get a new case/mobo and swap over everything else.

got her running xp pro 64bit.....had trouble finding the right pci network card and the hp printer drivers, but I got that fixed and she runs like a top!!
