GPU Overlclock risks?

Have delved some more into rivatuner today and seen the option to Overclock the GPU.

Theres like a blue section which im assuming it thinks is safe to clock to as if the slider passes it you get an exclamation mark. Are there any dangers or risks just setting the clocks to the end of the blue section?

Ive already put the mem clock to the end of the blue and is running fine. Just wondering if theres any risks with clocking the overs too?

Have you stressed it?
If i remember right, the core clock is like your cpu, and mem is your memmory.

Oc is valid/working untill its stressed. I have bumped my 8800 up... It ran fine till I ran 3dmark, and watch the temp skyrocket and lock up.

Until you are absolely sure your oc is good, I'd untick "Apply on startup"

also remember, just like the cpu, your gpu needs better cooling if you boost it high.

Whoa, memory is way too high.

If you stress it its gonna crash, take that memory down some.

And you need to turn up the fan speeds, id say 60% direct control.

I only oc core/mem and leave the shader alone
