Need to upgrade (Keep it Cheap)

Well now I just have to find out If my mother board is compatible with the items ( as well if my case is large enough) and I'm good.

I got my GPU and PSU. but I have a problem. I haven't opened my case yet, so I don't know what my motherboard is ( all I know is that the chipset is Nforce 430). Now, here's my problem

1) Not knowing if my Processor is compatible with my Motherboard
2) The chance of the Processor not being able to be removed

Okay so here are the questions

1) Is there any way to find out what my motherboard is WITHOUT opening the case? I want to install everything at once to lower the chance of a problem.
2) The only reason I think that the processor can't be removed is because someone said that companies would do that. If so, what are the chances? I don't want to buy a CPU without knowing if it can fit into the ******n motherboard.

Thanks for any help, again

CPU-z will give you all the info you need to know about your system before you open it up.
