I am using a laptop at work that has 2 O.S. loaded. The first system is XP Pro the other system is Fedora Core. I would like to use the Fedora O.S. but I do not know the password at the logon prompt. Can anyone help with this issue?

Your basically screwed, even with a live cd distro like knoppix that will allow you access to the linux installed on there, the passwords are shadowed, meaning they are encrypted.I can tell you where to find them--> /etc/passwd, but all your gonna see is a bunch of gibberish in the passwd partof the user file located there. You need the usernames and passowrds put on there by whoever installed the OS, unless you want to spend an eternity cracking the password file.

Have you tried all the standard password (password, pass, administrator, god, love, sex, admin, etc)

If all else fails set it up on a network and try to brute force it (or if you can get to a prompt you can do it from there)
