New Graphics Card Choices

I have an M2N32 SLI-Deluxe motherboard, 4g super talent memory, 3.0g Dual core AMD processor, but only a 8600GT silent graphics card (256mb). Its obvious when I am playing games that my card is the only thing really dragging so i decided to buy a new one. Right now I am thinking about getting (EVGA 640-P2-N824-AR GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3). But I am tight on $$ So also wanted to consider this card (EVGA 384-P3-N966-TR GeForce 9600 GSO 384MB 192-bit GDDR3 PCI Express) Which I can get for 50$ after mail in rebate where I am 120$ after rebate on the 8800. Will there be enough difference between the two to pay double for the 8800? Any experience with these cards ?

id get this, evga gts 512(g92 the better one, better then 640.... and 9600gso) $110

only a 30 day return policy though but it shouldnt go out after 30 days imo


oh and to original question i think the gts 640 is better, cuz isnt the 9600gso just a rebranded 8800gs?
 
no but like i said if u can live with only a 30 warranty u can get that card from the link i provided above for only 110
