Ipaq rx1950 repair

Hi Guys, I hope I am posting this question in the right place.
My question is: I have to replace the charging/sychro socket in the base of the unit (Ipaq rx1950) -- it has very many tiny contacts which have to be unsoldered and then the new ones re-soldered. Is there a special way to do this i.e. a special soldering iron or technique?

It's a laptop? I'd suggest moving it to the 'Everything Laptops' or 'Hardware Troubleshooting'.

Uh, If soldering is a matter of a steady hand and knowing what your doing, I've been in the business(mainly television boards) since I was 5 and honestly, it's knowing which contact and place to solder onto. Don't go to far that you burn everything and don't do to little that you end up with a mess. practice makes perfect.
