Xigmatek 120MM Rifle MB bending?

I just got my 120MM Xigmatek Rifle today and I noticed that it makes the motherboard bend around the socket. Is this normal or should i take the heatsink off?

Ya thats pretty much normal. ITs because it doesnt use a backplate like most heavy heatsinks. Its one of the reason i really dont care for it as a heatsink. Push pin mounting is a really terrible design.

Mine doesn't bend at all... those pushpins looked terrible so I just went ahead and got the mounting bracket. Also if you're going to be moving it around, you definitely don't want to use the pushpins.

I orderd one of those but it didn't fit, I got the wrong one... you think newegg will let me swap it out?

probably... newegg is known to have amazing customer service

only problem is because its such a cheap product, they might have you pay for the shipping again

just shoot them a support ticket and cross your fingers
