statistics just arent looking to good... i have no high hopes for amd...

Seriously though Intel is better then AMD right now benchmarks don't lie. Charts, benchmarks CPU Charts 2008, 3D Studio Max 9 If AMD were better it would be on the top Intel is better right now that's final. A year from now AMD may be better but that is a year from now.
Also I noticed a lot of people saying AMD is more future proof in computers NOTHING in future proof. They said a 20MB hard drive is all you will need for the rest of your life 20 years or so ago, and look we almost all have 300GB hard drives, anyways point is they leap frog each other and there is no use in arguing which one is better when Intel is clearly ahead of AMD in speed and that CAN change.

Intel is also a giant compared to AMD and has quite a bit more cashflow. They're able to spend the money to find better technologies without having to worry.

Deneb is only "future proof" if it is faster than Intel's offering.

You need to realize that deneb would be a nice upgrade for guys who currently run AMD systems and dont want to change their whole setup just to get a quad....no im not expecting it to be faster than nehalem, but an upgrade from whats out there now.

I think that's exactly what AMD is aiming for now. Their market has shifted more towards low priced, yet decent speed processors.

what they are aiming for is corporate systems/server racks. they could care less about individual desktops at the moment...they know they have to play catch up to intel right now. they are trying to keep their corporate customers from going to xeon. that really doesnt matter to us, unless they lose so many of those clients they go broke. their desktop market doesnt even scratch the surface of what they make with those racks.
