$900 build suggestion

Could I have some suggestions for a $900 build? I prefer Intel and Nvidia. This computer will be used for gaming.

Intel is a good choice right now but ATI's new 4850's and 4870's are the best bang for your buck right now.

This build comes to $835 before mail in rebates. I realize you prefer nvidia but the HD 4850 is cheaper and faster than its nvidia competitors.

Puddle Jumper's build is pretty much exactly what I would pick, except I would get the Antec 900 case:

Should still fit in the 900 dollar budget.

EDIT: You're not getting it for yourself though, right? Because from what I can see in your signature, this build wouldn't be that big of an improvement over your current one, especially not worth 900 bucks.

Actually that was my original intention because I'd like to have 2 computers instead of just 1. Another option would be for me to take the best parts out of my current build and replace them with downgraded parts since it will no longer be used for gaming after we have another computer.

i'd just upgrade your current computer and build a $400 family computer or w/e it is going to be used for.

Looks to me as if Your PSU/Case/Mem/HDD are all decent. and the gpu really isn't that bad.... lol

So yeah... i'd just build a low budget computer to save money, unless you just want to have a new computer to mess with for gaming.

Besides the fact that it has 2 gig of ram its basically the same. As already stated the guy doesn't need a new pc, he can just put $$$ into new parts.
