KK i'm buying it today and i'd like you guys to help me find a price friendly motherboard that supports the q9550 and at least 8gb, not a big overclocker so no worries their.

EDIT: What would be stopping me from buying something like Newegg.com - ECS P43T-A2 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards how can i tell if it supports the 45nm q9550? Do I need something different?

Also this is the build I'm going for, any criticisms or recommendations are appreciated:

Case - Newegg.com - APEVIA X-CRUISER-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases

MoBo - Newegg.com - ECS P43T-A2 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

CPU - Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

RAM - Newegg.com - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

HDD - Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (Perpendicular Recording) ST3750640AS 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA-300 Hard Drive - Internal Hard Drives

Dvd - Newegg.com - LITE-ON Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache IDE 20X DVD±R DVD Burner - CD / DVD Burners

OS - Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit English for System Builders 1pk DSP OEI DVD - Operating Systems

PSU (using the one I already have) - Newegg.com - BFG Tech BFGR650PSU 650W ATX 12v 2.0 / EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply - Power Supplies

I'd change a few things, lol i saw yuo try to ask in AMD vs. Intel, but that conversation was taken over....
That MB IS YUCKY!!!
HDD: WD 640 GB
MB: Asus P5Q Pro
CD, CPU, PSU, OS, RAM..
Are you getting a video card?

i'd suggest a little more on the mobo...you can get this one
Newegg.com - ASUS P5Q SE LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
for 105.00
and it will have more features than the ECS you listed. plus much better support IMO.
it also has a neat feature called "expressgate" which allows you to browse the internet, look at pictures, and several other things within like 5 seconds of turning your computer on. very handy of you are in a rush and need to find something really quick.
plus, its just made better.
if you ever DO decide to overclock, it is MUCH better.
more USB ports, better audio, and its a P45 board versus P43.
your decision, of course. but the asus is worth 30 bucks more IMO.

the motherboard is like the brain!!! If someone is retarded they're not going to transmit information very well right.. well if you buy a gimp mb it's gonna suck :D lol

Yea i'm going with the ati hd 4850, forgot to link it heh. So puting a little more $ into the mobo is worth it?

GPU - Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100244L Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

absolutely worth it. i'd spend even more than that and get a p5q pro or p5q-e...but thats just me and i use a lot of the features that they have.
also, this card:
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
is cheaper, still the same specs, but has better cooling.

Ok well that card is slightly less kewl (unprofessional i know). Any further recommendations before I order this this? Anything I left out?
