Laptop to Projector help!

Hi.. I have an IBM t30 Laptop. When I had this connected to a data projector, I can only only see my wallpaper. But on the screen of the laptop it seems normal. Can anyone please shed some light on this?

i think you have it such that the projector is an extension of you desktop . . .

right click the desktop, click properties, click settings and on monitor 2, uncheck "extend my desktop . . . "

I've tried that.. ticked and unticked. It didn't make any difference.
When I click on the identify button, it always says "1" and not "2" even after I've selected the "2". There maybe a problem with the driver so I might try reloading those.

if you have a "fn" key on your laptop, try pushing "fn+f5"

that gets it done on my HP . . .

F5 isn't a function key
