Hard drive question

hey guys

i have 2 500gb drives in my rig at the min giveing me 931gb space but i'm after another going in i've had this rig for about 3 weeks and i'm down to 582gb of space

so i'm thinking of getting a 1TB drive and sticking that in now the question is would it be easy enough to install this with out putting it in the current raid config with the other 2 drives

is it a case of screw the drive in, plug it in, load up windows and format from there or is it a case of haveing to go though the bios

if it is a case of the bios how do i do it though there

If your raiding 2 hard drives then adding a third would do nothing to the raid in my knowledge. Raid between (X) drives should not interfere with other drives that aren't raided.
