Hey guys, im going to get a laptop for school, and the thing is i really need this thing to do a lot for me. I want to game (not hard hardcore but i wanna be able to play some shooters like CS and maybe COD4 on low, and diablo 3 when it comes out).

The computer my dad is pretty much pushing on me (since hes paying for most of my school i cant complain about how much money hes spending on the comp)

hes getting a deal on the option of two Laptops both by acer

One is the 7720 the other 5920

here are the specs for each:

7720:

Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T2390
(3MB L2 cache, 1.86GHz, 533MHz FSB)

Mobile Intel® GM965 Express with integrated graphics and Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor

3GB (one 1GB memory card/ 2GB memory card)* on models with Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor

Integrated variable-speed HD DVD-ROM drive (CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RAM)

17.0" WXGA+ (1440 x 900) TFT LCD, Acer® CrystalBrite Technology

Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (8MB dedicated system memory, up to 350MB shared system memory), Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 support

And now the 5920:

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T5750
(2MB L2 cache, 2.0GHz, 667MHz FSB

Mobile Intel® PM965 Express with discrete graphics

3GB (2GB and 1GB installed in each of two memory slots) DDR2 667 SDRAM

Integrated variable-speed Blu-ray Discâ„¢ drive / Super-Multi drive (DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RAM)

Discrete NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GS (256MB dedicated memory, up to 768MB shared system memory)

15.4" WXGA (1280 x 800) TFT LCD, up to 16.7 million colors, Acer® CrystalBrite Technology

PCI Express™, Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 and DirectX® 10.0, and OpenEXR™ support

I would get the 5920, and NO I wouldn't not be complaining, lol I gotta pay for freshman/junior year, and everything else I need :D and that 5920 is not bad at all.

Problem: The 8600 chips are failing. Not one or two, but in droves. The Intel onboard is little more than a joke.
