another "wtf is up with my temps" thread

so i just built my rig and I havent gotten into overclocking it yet. I bought an antec nine hundred case and everything seems to be running fine but i went into ccc while i was puttin around the web and i realized my gpu temp was ~70 degrees. well i my case is getting pretty decent stock cooling, 2 fans in the front, 1 in the back, and the big one on top. and it seems like the case is cool but the card is not. i have the most recent drivers installed and everything so i'm wondering if my card is really not getting the air flow that it should be. my cpu is running at about ~40 also if you were wondering.

the HD 4850 runs really warm because of the crappy fan speed they give you...

Try the Fan Hack for the HD 4850 its on Youtube on how to do it

oh really?! kk i was wondering why the fan wouldn't change speeds. i'll try that and see how that works, ty so much!

Actually in retrospect 70 isn't that bad, but that mostly applied for older GPU's

just watched it and set it up. its working like a dream. its now down around 50 while i'm playing WoW, ty for the fix!
