WD 120gig HD
ATI 9200 Graphics card

Plan on using it as a basic home system with some moderate gaming.

Commemnts anyone? This will be my first build attempt. Im tired of talking to India for customer service and figure I'd rather try it myself.

Thanks
Normy

i wouldn't get value ram...and the vid card is a little por. i would go with a 9600 pro or xt or a 9800 pro for like 230.

welcome to the forums!

what kind of games are you gonna play on it?

Medal of Honor, etc. nothing too radical, may branch out into some lan games or maybe online(getting highspeed internet next week).

Thanks

i play mohaa...yeah i would suggest the 9800 pro...it'll work great for ya!

road runner? cable conection right?

Cable modem thru the cable company, pretty cheap, 25$ a month.
Do you guys think the MB and 2700 chip are a good match?

yeah...asus is a great board...if you are gonna oc i would get the abit but i don't think you are.

i think it would be cool to get a lanparty board since you have a case window...just a sugestion.

How about a reccomendation on a Mb and Memory? Im trying to keep it as inexpensive as possible but with realistic operating parameters.

Would there be a better MB? Is the model I chose a decent one even if I get brave and try to overclock a little? What about a good quiet heat sink?

Thanks again
Normy

that is a great mobo, if you are going to get brave then shoot for an Abit. they have the most stable boards for ocing. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-127-184&depa=1 great board here...it won't let you down.

a good heat sink and fan...here's a couple...http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-106-035&depa=0 that's a good fan, just get some as5 with ithttp://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-100-007&depa=0
