How can I format/partition an extra HD using Vista Ultimate?

I just installed an extra storage 1TB HD on my rig but I do not know how to get it working.

Can you help me please?

PS please ignore my signature...that is my old system. Now I an using Windows Vista Ultimate on a ECS gf7050vt-m mb with a E2200, 2 gigs of ram, 500 Psu.

right click my computer and go manage. then go to disk management. Find the drive there and format it and give it a drive letter.

You need to format the drive to get it working.
