Quick OC question

Right well ive managed to OC my Q6600 to 2.8 with stock cooler which Im going to keep it at for now until I get my hands on a better cooler for it.

But ive heard that if your temps increase with a higher clock you can increase the voltage (not by a lot obviously) to lower the resulting temp increase? I am just wondering if this is true or not.

not true, increasing volts increases temps ;p, if your temps are below 60C under load, dont worrie.

ahh thats ok then. It was just the idle temps that were annoying a bit. Around the 40-45 mark. But it maxes at about the low 50's when playing crysis.

50 is fine, just make sure you pick up an aftermarket cooler before you overclock anymore.
