Hi
I want to get a system fan, i found out that there are different sizes of fans
80 mm, 92 mm, 120 mm. Am i right in thinking that i can't just buy any fan and stick it on the back of my case. Should i measure the distance between the holes of the case to determine what size fan i need?
i narrowed it down to four makes
Collermaster
Antec
AKASA
QuietPC, are they good makes?
i liked a QuietPC with temperature control, is temperature control something which is desired. there were two of those fans on this websutre, one was a 92 mm one nd the other was a 80 mm. the 92 mm one was slightly more expensive than the 80 mm.
also one of the fans had a seperate signal connector to the motherboard, what would that do?
there were soem fans with 3 pin headers and some with 4 pin headers. the 4 pin header is a molex connector?
do i need a fan filter, does an 80 mm fan require an 80 mm fan filter?
my cpu fan gathers a lot of stuff which clogs up air circulation. what size of the fan filter do i require?
