Monitor Problem

As reported earlier, I changed the setting from 1024x768 to 1280x1024 with the resultant problem with font size.
Thought I was home free since I just utilized the mouse's scroll with Control pushed in to change sizes.
Imagine my shock when I noticed the black screen again with that Analog Input message. I checked my settings...still 1280x1024. Why did this problem reoccur?

It could be your refresh rate is not set to 60Hz. You could have it set for 75Hz which is why this issue could have reoccured. You chould be able to check this by going under Right click on Desktop>Properties. There choose the Display Settings option. There you should see the screen where you select the resolution. Click Advanced and check the monitor section. There you should see the refresh rate. Check that out.
