get the gtx280. with that budget you want the best stuff. However, I have read a lot of bad reviews from Asus as far as video cards go. I'd try to find another brand maybe. just a thought.

you have the tempest? it just came out a few months ago,,

Not by any change do I have that particular one, but I have the blackline and very familiar with nzxt.

^there is really not much reason to get a 280 anymore with the x2 kicking around for not much more.

Well guys thanks for your help, but it boils down to one decision. Either the
The GTX280 on a 780i
or the 4870x2 on the x48 (leaning more to this one)

both will be a 2x2Gb with the Q9550CPU
as far as the case, doing comparisons now.

Plastic

1. It's heavy as it's made out of steel.

2. Half of it is plastic.

3. The fans don't have any kind of dust filters.

4. For what it is, it's about 40 dollars overpriced.

5. The power supply in the bottom causes all kinds of issues with the cords length.

6. Wire management is neigh impossible without a significant amount of cutting.

7. Everyone has them so they aren't unique or different.

Those enough reasons for ya?
