thanks guys. yeah i had the drivers from the manufacturer's website. They are however, terribly out of date. so far the 156.55 are the newest ones i have seen but i am getting artifacts and other wierd things with them. ??

About the only choice you have left other than upgrading to Vista is to look around for modded drivers.

Yeah that's the best one, Mak. If anyone's got links to updated drivers it'd be them.

It's unfortunate that notebook manufacturers often stop updating their drivers about a year after release. The graphics card is the worst because constant updates are almosta necessity to maintain compatibility with Direct X and OpenGL features.
