are any of these motherboard makes any good or you think i should go for well known makes like giga, abit, asus, msi, dfi

familiar brands to me, so nothing negative...

all you need to do is find the board with the specs you want, and maybe color, lol

both manufacturers are taiwan based, which translates to a trusty 85% chance they fabricated top quality products...no joke (though of course, some may offer their opine otherwise)

here's some 2k8 reviews on asrock

I did all those searches for you on dialup...that's pretty good :p
you can do some for foxconn yourself, hehe

I had an asrock for my last motherboard for an amd 939 socket. It was a pretty good budget board, had quite a few features that others had that were much more expensive. I had a little trouble with the onboard audio but otherwise it was a pretty solid board. I remember foxconn being recommended on other forums a few years ago quite a bit, but i havent heard much of them recently.
