Putting broken CPU in new mobo

Last year my dad blew his mobo and probably his CPU, too.

I'm planning to buy a mobo wich supports that CPU.
Is there a possibility that this CPU (if broken) will damage my mobo?

well if the cpu is messed up, it shouldnt really mess it up. Its the other way around. The mobo can fry ur shit but not other way arround. btw major, im super techy now,

man its so funny to look at ur specs have u tried overclocking ur 200 to like 220? hhe, and what is this processor u have? What mobo u getting?

mobo: don't know yet...have no money..damn

on my current mobo is says in a table I have to put jumper 6 to someplace to change the BUS, but i cannot find jumper6

soonly I will take everything out of my comp and try to find that jumper
