64 bit processor

Im thinking about buying a 64 bit processor but i dont know what mother board is needed for compatability.

Well are you going for a 940 pin or 939 pin? If you head over to http://www.newegg.com, go to the motherboard section, then use the 939/949 pin filter (whichever one your getting) it will show a list of motherboards that are compatible and plenty of reviews. Head over to http://www.tomshardware.com to check what your getting as well

DON'T GET SOCKET 940!!!

it requires registered ram, which is a waste of time and money

for the best results, get socket 939 (you can also get socket 754, but you wont get stuff like dual channel RAM)

You also might want to check out this site. If you dont already have farcry you get a free copy or it when you get a combo of an athlon 64 mobo and proccesor.
