Hello, I have this problem from a lot of time, the monitor turns off. I tried several things and I concluded that this is from the mouse. When I dont have a mouse everything works fine, when I connect it the monitor can turn off in any time. I changed mice but this didnt work, I tried 2 other mouses and it happens too.
So basically everything works fine without mouse, just with keyboard.
Anyone had this problem and can help me somehow ?
I have advanced computer knowledge.

Thanks

Are these PS2 or USB mice? USB mice can sometimes cause issues and require certain settings be changed in the BIOS. If it is a PS2 mouse it should work fine, but you can try a USB mouse to see if that works.

Sorry, it just went off without mouse too so the problem is other I guess.
any ideas ?
my card is nvidia 4 mx.
If you wonder why I use so old, its for my mom, she just want to browse internet.

It seems by removing the video card drivers the monitor doesnt turn off.
But still I need to find a solution because I want actually to see something with nice colors :D

Sounds like the card is just crapping out. If this computer is used just for internet/email then i would suggest just using the onboard video.

If you can't live w/o a separate video card, then first try updating the drivers. If that doesn't work try replacing the card.
