8800GT SLI with 9800GT?

So it seems like he will not be able to run them in SLI, the other downside now is that with the release of the 9800GT the prices of the 8800GT have gone up in price. I guess Nvidia wants people buying the 9800GT's over the 8800GT's

Thats not possible, The 9800gt's support Tri-SLi which is a hardware change. Needs to have two SLi connections.

If they are selling flashed 8800gt's as 9800gt's I'm sure nvidia does not approve.

Nvidia themselves specifically instructed companies to do so.
Nvidia to re-sell flashed 8800 GT's as 9800's

hrmm i assume their just shoving g92 cores onto new pcb's then?

that doesnt make sense though... 9800gt is SUPPOSED to be 55nm... how is this in anyway okay?
