Vista question... help please

i have 32bit vista... i have 2gb ram.... i want to upgrade to 4gb of ram... is there a way besides going to 64bit to get as much out of the 4gb as possible? if so please let me know thanks... if not how much will be recognized 3.5? i have a radeon x1250 graphics cards came installed on comp..:) thanks again
 
no u can't upgrade for free, at least not that im aware of. The amount of RAM recognized is 4096 minus the amount of RAM your graphics card has.
 
If you have Windows Vista x32/86, you are able to order an x64 DVD or CDs off of their Website. I know the retail package comes with a card that gives you a link, not sure about the OEM. You enter your product key and they send you a disk, as someone said, for $10.
