now.. my only urk about all of this... is going tri or quadfire is gonna force me to go to windows vista (yuck)

while gtx280 sli... i can still use my beloved windows xp!

Whats your grudge with vista? It's nearly identical to xp with better memory allocation and security...

no grudge at all... i just prefer xp... don't get me wrong i like vista.. but at this very moment... i just like working with xp

lack of creative soundblaster x-fi drivers is my biggest urk.. i can't use the control panel, and audio switch with vista...

i have to have clarity and great surround with my computer.. music is 60% of what i do on my computer... and i didnt buy an x-fi to not use it

Nos why don't you just ditch the XFI and get a nice external DAC setup, then move on to Server 2008?

external dac setups probably cost alot!!

Go look at all the previews.

But at 1900X1200 and higher with AA and AF the X2 beats out the GTX more often than not.

But don't take my word for it, as I said, go look at all the previews..

Well considering the fact that most games are nVidia optimized and would make the X2 version usually perform like one HD 4870 and that the HD 4870X2 most performs better than a HD 4870 Crossfire its a pretty big deal I guess..

But lets see how that GTX 280 X2 goes?
