my specs are

1 gig DDR
430W power supply with 6 pin model TR2 430NP thermaltake

i was going to buy this card here
Newegg.com - EVGA 256-P2-N761-AR GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
i see price is pretty low after rebate

but i am not sure about the minimum power supply requires to run it

here's what's display on my thermaltake TR2 430NP
+3.3V ~ 28 amps
+5V ~ 30 amps
+12V ~ 18 amps
-5V ~ .5 amps
-12V ~ .8 amps
+5VSB ~ 2 amps

will i have enough to run this??? if not what do u recommend that my psu can handle?

the card says minimum +12V ~ 22amp
i'm at 18 amps aren't I?

Oh wait a minute. You havn't told me your motherboard type. And by the looks of your other components your motherboard will only support a AGP card. That one you have selected is a PCI-Express card

Hmm strange a PCI-E board that only supports DDR ram, never seen one before (usually they support DDR2 and above). Well then yes excuse my previous statement but you will be able to run a PCI-E card like the one above.

As for the power requirements, you should still be able to run the card as your other components are rather outdated, thus consuming less power than higher end components.
