How do you overclock ram?

but ive worked it out that the mobo fsb max in the bios options where u change it means it would reach like 6.0 that carnt be right can it? or would that be the mobo's max not the cpu?
 
it's very possible to get it that high. It would just require some really high voltages...which would need for you to have like liquid nitrogen cooling lol....

as i said though, on good air cooling i'm sure you could hit 3.0ghz

I got enough info just one last thing.

How do I know if its linked or not linked? MY mobo is 1066 standard, so assume I can get it to 1066 fairly easy? Anyone know if this is the case?

That just means that is the basic recommended RAM type for your board
 
^i have to dis agree vernon, that is just the max mhz ram that can be in your motherboard, there won't be any performance hits for not using 1066.
