Is this possible?

I want to splice a phone cord into my mixer to run sound over the integrated phone lines to get speakers in another room. I never use a land line and I know that sound quality over such thin wires can be bad.
So for (hopefully) some clarification:
Computer>Mixer>Bedroom phone jack>Living room phone jack>Amp>Speakers.

Can it be done?

hmm it is an interesting concept. IDK for sure but i think it is doable. I just think you have to disconnect the phone line from everything else in the house. Especially the line coming in. If you do try it let us know what happens.

Sounds like a really cool idea. I'm not sure if it could actually work, but still a cool idea. If i were you I would get an old phone and experiment on it first before you start chopping up the phone lines in your house. Also I would like to point out that if you get your internet through DSL then messing with your phone lines would be a very bad idea, as DSL uses phone lines with filters.
