Im not quite sure which PSU i should get, my choices are beetween the Corsair 650TX and the 750TX.

So here are my system specs, so please tell me which i should get:


Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor

CPU cooler: XIGMATEK 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler

Motherboard: EVGA NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI Motherboard

Ram:OCZ Reaper HPC Edition DDR2 800Mhz (2X2GB) 4GB

Graphics Card: Two of: XFX Geforce 8800 GTS 512MB

Case: ThermalTake Armor Series

Power Supply: ???

Internal Hard Drive: Western digital Caviar 640GB (7200RPM)

Optical Drive: SAMSUNG Black 22X SATA Burner

why on earth?! would you want to buy a $229 card when you can get a 9800 gtx for $30 cheaper, and it's a better card?!?!!?

get the 750tx

I would get 2x HD4850's and a x48 motherboard. The HD4850's are faster than the 8800gts 512mb's or the 9800gtx's.

Well even though the two posts above me show good advice, if you're set on getting the 2x 8800gts 's then the 650tx would be just fine

thank you for actually answering my questiong redmoon, and i alredy have 1 8800GTS so its a bit too late to go ahead and buy two of that other card, so i just will dual SLI the 8800GTS plus its a bit better permformace.

And i just dont like how the 9 series were designed.

the 9 series is just an overclocked version of the 8800gts, and the 9800gx2 is just basically 2 gts's slapped on the same pcb.

a but the gx2 is more expensive then two 8800gts, so thats another reason to, im in dual SLI they are better then the 9800GX2

i'm quite sure a 9800gx2 out performs 8800gts sli'd.

yeah thats what i though too, 9800gx2 is pretty close to a 4870 and im pretty sure that is better than sli gts's

EDIT: just had a quick look seems 9800gx2 is better. pretty close in some cases tho
