The tech guy at my High school said when he was fixing someones computer it had a Fujitsu drive in it and it wasn't working. He was unable to get the data off of it so he slammed it on the table to get the head unstuck and then got the data off of it and never used it again...

I think that works on the same principal as the dropping it method I suggested.

Bare in mind you'll probably have to pay extra to get data recovered.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think i am just going to RMA it. I did try turning it upside down and even shaking it while it was running. But didn't do anything. Oh i did try the freezer thing also and no go.

I might try the drop thing. Just as long as i don't void the warranty i don't care what i do to it.
