Upgrading home PC for some games

Well I bit the bullet and got the card that gsteffens metioned. I appreciate the responces guys...now I have a new problem. The game started up just fine and it seems to run ok, however, when I first started playing the graphics were choppy. Does that sound like a RAM issue(I have 1G) I could install another chip(have another open slot). Gsteffens mentioned running 2 of the 2gb chips would be overkill but possible. Should I just upgrade the one to 2gb or any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Choppy frame rates = graphics most likely.

Update your graphics drivers to the newest ones... download them from Nvidia.

BF2 likes its RAM. 2GB is the sweet spot for the game. BF2 is also rather stingy... don't run anything else in the background besides your AV and such (TeamSpeak/Vent is fine, but not much else). You can try adjusting your in-game settings down some. I use the ones I posted in this post: http://www.techist.com/forums/f15/what-online-game-best-162020/#post1261079 They are not eye candy, but allow you to see the other guy better. My card can run it full out, but I use these settings anyway.
