Laptops Insured

Hi All,
Get your laptops insured once you buy them.Company doesn't provide the insurance.I got screwed up coz it got stolen

It's a suggestion for everyone.

Home owners or renter's insurance would cover that wouldn't it? Yo can also buy a copy of LoJack for Laptops for pretty cheap, they've got like a 75% recovery rating.

Home Onwers and Renter's Insurace does cover it. I have all my stuff covered under my Renter's Insurance. Including my PC's.

Check with your insurance agent about what's covered and what's not and what the deductible might be. There's a big difference between the theft of a brand new $3,000 high-end rig and the theft of a $499 Best Buy special. Filing claims can quickly raise your premiums.

Renter's and home owner's insurance are very, very different. Filing any home owner's insurance claim can put the entire policy at risk. Home owner's insurance should be reserved for major structural damage that seriously affects property value. Tread lightly there.
