Ive got a 2.8 dual core Pentium D and 1gb of pc2-4200 memory i need to use in a build im wondering what type of motherboard to get i want somthing thats going to support the processor ive got now and a quad core for future upgrades, also would like to have sli or crossfire support for future upgrades as well i need to stay around 150? tops.

its not really worth buying a mobo now, that you will use for your future upgrade imo i like the buy everything at once, but its up to u, i guess itll be ok if your upgrading soon.

but anyway, you could get a 650i for 119 but if you want to use new cards for sli (9800gtx and up) it only has 8x sli support. so i would go with the 750i p5n by asus, its exactly 150.

for xfire you could go for a p35 chipset like the p5k Pro.
