Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500

Well I just saw these sticks going on for sale at Fry's and it caught my eyes. I'm just wondering if these sticks were any good since they're a better version of the PC2 6400 but I just wanted to make sure before buying them.

What does Single Sided RAM mean, vernong?

As in the memory chips are just on one side

(like older RAM, if you've ever seen some PC133 RAM)

I have this ballistix 8500 and I believe it is double sided

if its single sided, the ram chips will be only placed on one side, which means more heat and not as good over clocks.

After a while of immense popularity they became single handed, I know this, which is why they got really cheap (check online)

Unless you got them second hand of somebody who had the normal ones or got one of the older batches, thats the only way you still get double-sided Ballistix

Single sided are crap overclockers and we don't recommend them here anymore
